The associate professorship thesis of one of the important architectural historians, Prof. Dr. Metin Ahunbay’s is brought to the reader after 42 years. This work, which he realized by working in the field for a long time under very difficult working conditions in Southeastern Anatolia in the 1970’s, offers a valuable resource and an architectural inventory for the early medieval architecture of the region, which is not known enough even today.
