Ceren Ünal graduated from the Department of Archaeology and Art History at Bilkent University in 1997. She completed her master's degree in the Department of Art History at Ege University in 2004. In 2010, she obtained her doctoral degree from the Department of Art History at Ege University. During her master's and doctoral programs, she worked as a research assistant at Manisa Celal Bayar University and Ege University Departments of Art History. Since 2011, she has been serving as a faculty member in the Department of Art History at Manisa Celal Bayar University.
