Özgü Çömezoğlu Uzbek graduated from Hacettepe University's Department of Art History in 1997. She completed her master's degree in the same department at Hacettepe University in 2001. She obtained her doctoral degree from the Department of Art History at Istanbul University in 2007. Since 2013, she has been serving as a faculty member in the Department of Art History at Istanbul University, where she began her academic career as a research assistant during her doctoral studies.
