Sema Doğan graduated from Hacettepe University's Department of Archaeology and Art History in 1982. She completed her master's degree in the Department of Art History at Hacettepe University in 1985. She obtained her doctoral degree from the Department of Art History at Hacettepe University in 1996. Starting as a research assistant during her doctoral program, she has been serving as a faculty member in the Department of Art History at Hacettepe University since 1996.
