Elif Keser Kayaalp graduated from the Department of Architecture at Middle East Technical University in 1997. She completed the master's program in Architectural History at Middle East Technical University in 1999. She obtained her doctoral degree in the field of archaeology from the University of Oxford in 2009. She began her academic career as a faculty member in the Department of Art History at Mardin Artuklu University in 2011 and continued her teaching position at Dokuz Eylül University in the Department of Museology from 2015 to 2023. Since 2023, she has been serving as a faculty member in the Department of Art History at Hacettepe University.
